Learning to write a readers responce

My reflection i'm proud of my work because i tried my best to remember the ideas in the poem. It was hard to understand the poem because the poet doesen't say. next time i would like to write a response to a different and easier poem.

learning to solve maths word problem

My reflection:
I think that I have done a good job because I used good maths strategies to work out the answers. I also learned how to use a grid to help me to help me keep my thinking straight.

I'm not used to doing word problems. I would like to do more and use my skills.

Learning to write a recount as a poem

Did you ever...?
by Gemma

Did you ever…

go to the zoo?

monkeys swinging

animals eating

people laughing

Did you ever imagine
how long an elephant's trunk could be?
trunk drinking
trunk eating
lots of echoing

Precious moments having fun
Awesome memories
spending time with family
I loved it.

My reflection:
I think  I’ve done a pretty good job because I followed the formula but I made a mistake when I was doing the second verse because I wrote about another experience. But I fixed it up and made the same verse of the story.  Next time I will make it the same verse about the same topic.

I liked writing a recount in a poem. It’s different from writing a recount with sentences.

comparing a poetry recount and regular recount

My reflection:
I think I've done a good job because I know a lot about a poetry recount now and a regular recount. I've never used a Venn diagram before to compare two things.  I did find it useful to compare writing styles.  I would like to do it again.
